agnātio (adgnātio), ōnis, f. (agnascor), I) das Nachgeborenwerden, 1) eig., a) v. Sklaven, der Zuwachs, spät. ICt. – b) v. Menschen, nach dem Tode od. Testamente des Vaters, oft b. ICt. – 2) meton., a) der Stand des Agnaten, die Blutsverwandtschaft von Vaters Seite, die auf Adoption od. Erzeugung von Mannspersonen, die zur Familie gehören, gegründet ist, Acc. tr. 579.
