Antipho, ōnis, m. u. (gew.) Antiphōn, ōntis, m. (Ἀντιφῶν), griech. Männername, I) Form - pho, häufig in der lat. Komödie, zB. Plaut. Stich. 508. Ter. Phorm. 101. – II) Form - phon, a) der erste attische Staatsredner, aus dem Demos Rhamnus, geb. 479 v. Chr., nach dem Sturz der Vierhundert in Athen von Theramenes angeklagt u. 411 v. Chr. hingerichtet, Cic. Brut. 47. Quint. 3, 1, 11 u.a. – b) ein Sophist, Zeitgenosse u. Gegner des Sokrates, Verf. einer Schrift über die Auslegung der Träume, Cic. de div. 1, 39 u.a. – c) ein Freigelassener und Schauspieler, Cic. ad Att. 4, 15, 6.
