Dienst (des apparitor, s. d.), der Unterbeamtendienst, Cic. ep. 13, 54 extr.: praefecturae praetorianae, Amm. 15, 3, 8; u. so alle Dienste zur Kaiserzt. – Plur. apparitiones meton. = apparitores, die öffentlichen Diener, Unterbeamten, Cic. ad Q. fr. 1, 1, 4. § 12. Auch Singul. apparitio in dieser Bedeutung, omnis toga apparitioque, seine Freunde u. sein Troß, Amm. 15, 7, 3.
